Ashtabula SMI Overview Information
WHAT: The Summer Manufacturing Institute is a collection of two week-long day camps. Each camp connects Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) concepts to local careers throughout Ashtabula County. Campers complete hands-on, STEM projects to showcase to parents and local businesses.
WHO: 5th & 6th grade Ashtabula County students
WHERE: A-tech (1565 OH-167, Jefferson, OH 44047)
WHEN: Two weeks in July 2021 from Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm and Fridays from 9am-12pm with a special celebration luncheon from 11am-12pm.
Cost: The cost for registration is $25 per camper per week (lunch included). Camp scholarships are available. Please e-mail SMI@thinkmfg.com for more information.

The Ashtabula Summer Manufacturing Institute (SMI) is operated by the Alliance for Working Together Foundation in partnership with A-Tech; Ashtabula County Commissioners; Ashtabula County Job & Family Services; OhioMeansJobs Ashtabula County; Growth Partnership for Ashtabula County; Gazette Newspapers/Great Lakes Printing; Grand Valley Schools; local Ashtabula County businesses; Country Neighbor; and the office of Congressman Dave Joyce.
