We are so pleased to announce that plans are underway for the 2021 Ashtabula Summer Manufacturing Institute (SMI) Camps! Our Ashtabula SMI Steering Committee is working diligently to release the specific dates/times and certain health and safety procedures for 2021. We’ll keep you updated.
Until then, here’s what you need to know about Ashtabula SMI:
WHAT: The Summer Manufacturing Institute is a collection of three week-long day camps. Each camp connects Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) concepts to local careers throughout Ashtabula County. Campers complete hands-on, STEM projects to showcase to parents and local businesses.
WHO: 5th & 6th grade Ashtabula County students
WHERE: A-tech (1565 OH-167, Jefferson, OH 44047)
WHEN: Three weeks in July 2021 from Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm and Fridays from 9am-12pm with a special celebration luncheon from 11am-12pm. Please note specfic dates will be released in the next coming months. Online registration for the camps will begin in late February 2021.
Cost: $25/week (includes lunch) and financial assistance is available
