We are so pleased to announce that the Summer Manufacturing Institute will be in Ashtabula! Here’s what you need to know:
WHAT: The Summer Manufacturing Institute is a collection of three week-long day camps. Each camp the connects STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) to careers in Ashtabula County.
WHO: Ashtabula students, entering 5th & 6th grade. One week is just for girls to encourage women in STEAM careers and the other weeks are co-ed.
WHEN: July 2020 9 am to 3 pm Monday-Thursday and 9am-12pm on Fridays with a special presentation from 11am-12pm
HOW MUCH: $25 per camper per week. This price includes lunch
Ashtabula Summer Manufacturing Institute is operated by the Alliance for Working Together (AWT) Foundation in partnership with A-tech; Ashtabula County Commissioners; Ashtabula County Job & Family Services; OhioMeansJobs Ashtabula; Growth Partnership for Ashtabula County; Gazette Newspapers; Grand Valley Schools; Country Neighbor; local Ashtabula County businesses; and the office of Congressman Dave Joyce.
