This class will provide you with an overview of GibbsCAM and its usage. We will provide a detailed look at the software configuration, the GibbsCAM interface, and customization options. We will provide an overview of part-to-g-code workflow as well as 2D geometry creation focusing on programming efficiency.
We will provide instruction on the importing/exporting of different types of solid models from external CAD systems. We will also cover solid model creation and analysis as well as stock and fixture designation and manipulation. In working with Solids, we will also learn about the creation of coordinate systems and model positioning.
With this class, we will provide instruction and best practices for basic OD and ID operations on a 2/3-axis lathe. This includes tool creation, workgroups, and part positioning. We will also cover basic live tooling operations such as drilling and slotting on the face and OD of a cylindrical part. We will also discuss programming efficiency with Saved Processes.
This training segment will discuss part set-up, positioning and best practices for a 3-axis mill. We will cover tool creation and generate basic toolpaths including facing, rough pocketing, contours, chamfering and drilling operations. We will also discuss programming efficiency with Saved Processes.
This class will cover advance milling techniques for both 3/4 axis mills and lathes with milling capability. Topics will include form tools, cylindrical milling, machining patterns and transform toolpath. We will also provide an overview of high efficiency roughing techniques such as Volumilling and High-Feed Milling.
