The Alliance for Working Together Foundation (AWT), Eastern Lake County Chamber of Commerce, Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce, and Willoughby Western Lake County Chamber of Commerce are excited to host the 2024 Think Manufacturing Career Expo on Thursday, October 3rd at Mentor High School- Paradigm, located at 6477 Center Street, Mentor, OH.
Going into its 11th year, this event provides the opportunity for students to learn more about career opportunities in manufacturing. Over 700 students representing seventeen schools will connect with young adults working in manufacturing through an interactive panel discussion and connect with fifty local manufacturers on the Expo floor.
“We are excited to be co-hosting the 11th Annual Think Manufacturing Career Expo with our friends at the Chambers. Our mission is to promote rewarding careers in manufacturing, and what better way to do that than to bring manufacturers and our future innovators together in one place” said Teresa Simons, Executive Director, AWT.
The Think Manufacturing Career Expo continues to grow each year. This event allows young adults to learn firsthand how they can enter a rewarding and viable career upon high school graduation.
“It provides the students an opportunity to interact with the manufacturers to gain an understanding of what types of great well-paying jobs are available in today’s manufacturing world”, stated Christine Weber, President and CEO, Mentor Area Chamber of Commerce.
“Having been involved with the Chambers since the start of the expo, it’s been incredible to witness its continued growth and success. Collaboration is key, and supporting our future entrepreneurs and youth is vital. Everyone involved does such a great job”, Katrina March, Interim Executive Director, Eastern Lake County Chamber of Commerce.
Dana Wolfe, Executive Director, Willoughby Western Lake County Chamber of Commerce said “Manufacturers are one of the leading core business industries in Lake County and this even provides the opportunity to showcase these organizations while building a pipeline for the robust future of manufacturing in our communities.”
“We are grateful for the partnerships that come together to make this experience one of a kind, including Mentor High School as it provides Principal Jason Crowe and his entire team the opportunity to showcase their campus as well,” continued Wolfe.
