AWT Now Hiring: Part-Time Contract Cleaner

The AWT Foundation seeks a reliable and detail-oriented part-time or contract cleaner to maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the AWT Transformation Training Center. The cleaner will be responsible for ensuring that the facility, including offices, classrooms, restrooms, and common areas, remains clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

Daily / Regular Cleaning Duties (5 days per week):

• Vacuum and mop all hard-surface floors (vestibule, lobby, hallways, offices, training rooms, and kitchen).
• Empty trash and replace liners in all areas.
• Clean and sanitize telephones, sinks, and countertops.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, urinals, mirrors, counters, and partitions.
• Wipe down tables, desks, and horizontal surfaces.
• Clean glass doors and entrance areas as needed.
• Vacuum entrance including mats.
• Turn off lights, lock doors, and set alarms per instructions at the end of each shift.

Weekly / As-Needed Tasks:

• Spot clean walls, doors, light switches, and vending machines.
• Vacuum or brush upholstered furniture.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen appliances, including the coffee machine and microwave.
• Clean, disinfect, and polish drinking fountains.

Monthly / As-Needed Periodic Duties:

• Dust high and low surfaces.
• Conduct a thorough vacuuming and cleaning of carpets.

Qualifications

• Prior commercial or janitorial cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and follow cleaning checklists.
• Reliable transportation to and from the facility.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical cleaning tasks.
• Must pass a background check.

Schedule

Approximately 10–15 hours per week (flexible scheduling, primarily evenings or early mornings).

Compensation

Hourly contract rate based on experience.
