Are you interested in Upskilling your Employees? Check-out out AWT Apprenticeship Program Webinar

The next cohort will start in February and is a combination of online and in-person instruction. In-person instruction takes place at Auburn Career Center one day a week from 3 pm-5 pm. Our community recognizes the need for skilled manufacturing workers and would like to strengthen our manufacturing workforce through apprenticeship training. The apprenticeship training is a total of 4 years long and at the end of the 4 years, apprentices will receive their Journeyman’s certificate.

The AWT apprenticeship offers a reliable pipeline of skilled workers, customized training that meets industry standards, and increased knowledge transfer through on-the-job learning. AWT offers four different apprenticeship occupations including precision machinist, tool programmer/numerical control, tool & die maker, and mold maker. The cost of enrollment for the AWT Apprenticeship program is $2,000 per employee per year and through Ohio’s TechCred Program, employers who successfully submit their TechCred application will be reimbursed up to $2,000 per employee after each year of completion in their training. AWT Staff Members will even help your company navigate the TechCred application for training reimbursement.
